Dr. Montes received his degree from the state college of Colima, Mexico in 2003 and has worked with Caring Hearts Animal Clinic as a technician since Januray 2007.

Dr. Al Schleappe opened the doors at Caring Hearts Animal Clinic in October, 1991. Dr. Schleappe is a 1984 graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation he accepted a position in Columbia, Missouri where he practiced large and small animal medicine for 3 years. Dr. Schleappe and his family, relocated to Arizona in March 1987. Dr. Schleappe accepted a position with Mesa Veterinary Hospital as an associate veterinarian. He was transferred from the Mesa location to Scottsdale where he managed Adobe Animal Hospital in 1988. In 1990, as a member of the Army Reserve, he was called to serve in Desert Storm. Upon his return from his military duty, Caring Hearts Animal Clinic was born. Dr. Schleappe is a member of the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, and the Arizona Academy of Veterinary Practice.
